Renascence IT has looked after growing businesses since 2005. Ten of us, working as your technology adviser, not the number you call when something breaks.
Over twenty years of running technology for other people
We started in 2005 and have spent the years since inside other people's businesses, which is a different education from working inside one company as its corporate IT person. Our leadership has run technology departments and sat in the small business community here, and has carried the consequences of decisions we made for other firms. That history is why the advice you get from us is specific about cost, clear about how your risk compares with others in your industry, and blunt about trade-offs. All of it is aimed at one outcome, which is your business growing.
The range matters as much as the years. That time has been spent improving businesses of different sizes across different industries, so a problem you believe is unique to you is usually one we have met a version of before. The services pages set out what we do about it and what the commitments are.
Our own rule has not changed in twenty years: a promise made is a promise kept. Everything below is what that costs us to mean.
2005
The year we started, and the reason we have seen most of what a small business network can do to itself.
Staff who stay
The last person to leave us had been here since 2013. The engineer who picks up your call this year is very likely the one who picked it up last year.
A promise kept
Give us a date and that is the date. If we are going to miss it, you hear so from us before you have to ask, and you hear why.
Partners who stay
EnviroComp has been on our books since 2006, and several more are past their eighth year. Nobody renews for two decades out of habit.
What we hold to
Our core values
Four words that mean nothing on their own. This is what each one costs us in practice.
Transparency
Your documentation, your passwords and your licenses belong to you, and you can have all of it whenever you ask, including on the day you decide to leave. We tell you what we are buying on your behalf and what it costs. When something on our side caused an outage, that is what the write-up says.
Efficiency through simplicity
The better answer usually removes a step rather than adding a product. Some of the results we are proudest of came from switching things off, consolidating servers or putting an application back where it ran faster. A smaller footprint is cheaper to run and much harder to break.
Ownership
Whoever picks up your issue keeps it until it is closed, including the parts that belong to your line-of-business vendor, your internet provider or your landlord. Chasing those people is our job. You should never be the one relaying messages between two companies you pay.
Evolution
The right answer three years ago is often the expensive one now. We revisit those decisions on a schedule instead of waiting for something to fail, and we say so when something we recommended has stopped earning its place.
Our team
Who you will actually deal with
Ten people, and you will come to know most of them by name. A firm this size has people whose whole job is scheduling, and a compliance manager whose whole job is paperwork, which is unusual at ten and is deliberate. Those two roles are where service quietly falls apart.

Why choose us
Three reasons a business moves to us
Somebody is thinking ahead
Most firms that call us have support of some kind. What they do not have is anyone bringing them a plan for next year, an honest number for what it costs, and a view on what their insurer and their largest client are about to require.
We know the software you run
Design, engineering, laboratory and dispatch applications each break in their own particular way. Knowing which ones hate a slow file server saves a great deal of guessing on the first bad day.
The numbers get written down
What a project was meant to save, and what it actually saved, both end up on paper. The case studies are five partners who agreed to let us publish theirs, figures included.
Common questions
About working with us
How long has Renascence IT been in business?
Since 2005, so over twenty years. Several of the businesses on our case studies page have been with us for most of a decade, which is the number that matters more than the founding date.
Ten people. Is that enough, and who would I be dealing with?
Headcount is the wrong measure of it. Automation handles the repetitive work, and the opening months of a partnership go on removing the faults that generate most of the tickets, so volume drops and stays down. In practice you get a named adviser for planning, engineers who already know your environment day to day, and a dispatcher who owns scheduling so a promised visit is an actual appointment. Cover for time off runs on shared documentation rather than one person remembering everything. What a small team gives you is the part a large one cannot sell: the person who picks up knows your name, your building and your software, and you know theirs. Somewhere with hundreds of technicians you will not speak to the same one twice.
Do you only work with businesses in the Bay Area?
Hands-on visits are Bay Area and Pacific Northwest. Remote support reaches your people wherever they happen to be working. Several of the businesses we look after have nobody in an office at all. The contact page has the detail.
Do we have to be in one of your six industries?
No. Those six are where we can name your software and your regulator without being told. Outside them the engineering is the same and the learning curve is on us, which we would rather say plainly than pretend to a specialism we do not have.
What does a first conversation involve?
Fifteen minutes on your setup and the problem behind the call, including any date you are trying to hit. If a change of provider is not the answer, we will say so. If you want a written picture before committing to anything, the JOUST assessment exists for that and stands on its own.
Come and find out whether we are the right fit
The first call is a conversation about your business, not a demonstration of ours. Bring the thing that has been bothering you and we will tell you what we would do about it.
