As a runner, I have a schedule to keep for making certain paces for half and full marathons. Many times during my training I feel an ache in a knee or foot. Instead of addressing the issue and either stretching more or running less (heaven forbid), I try and run through it. More often than not I regret the decision and I end up injuring myself and being out of commission for days or even weeks.
When meeting a new client, I hear the pain from them. Outages, failed backups and slow networks are discussed. They think a quick fix will get them out of the issues. However, there is always something more than just the symptom. Ignoring the cause of the problem can lead to an outage that lasts longer and cost the business dearly.
Does your current provider apply band aids repeatedly instead of fighting the deeper pain? It might be time for a second opinion.
