When Enough is Enough?

I meet with potential clients on a weekly basis. Some are interested in our technology, others in services and pricing, and a third dealt with a significant outage.

However, when it comes to actually making a change, it is difficult for those businesses to pull the trigger to make a switch. Even when systems go down, or there are complete outages, companies still find refuge with the known, no matter how bad it is, versus the unknown of another provider.

The issue is not being able to believe the current vendor can't change their ways but that someone else can make things better. I see potential clients losing thousands of dollars in lost downtime, wasted employee wages and promised 'changes' by a current vendor that never occur.

Making a switch is always a difficult decision, but remember, is making a switch less painful than watching your company go out of business because of a bad IT decision?
